This year the Blue Angels celebrate their 75th anniversary. Just months before the famous demonstration squadron's establishment in April 1946, a collection of World War II aviators and ground support personnel toured parts of the country performing for the public and demonstrating the aircraft and maneuvers that achieved final victory. It was called the "Flying Might" tour and an article in the Winter 1987 issue of The Hook told the story.
