Over the past 100 years, Naval Aviation became a U.S. military combat force centerpiece uniquely suited to conduct expeditionary operations, provide sea-borne deterrence and presence, and, execute relief/ rescue/ restoration operations as well as deliver lethal power-projection from the sea. The Naval Aviation Centennial celebration allowed us to take stock of our immeasurable contributions around the world as well as honor the thousands of brave aviators and their supporting aircrews who paved the way for us to reach this momentous anniversary.
